Installation and Commissioning
Installing and commissioning control for the South East of England.
We have been installing controls equipment for years. The industry has evolved in terms of health and safety and so have we.
The installation process could be a simple modification of an existing system where RAMS would not necessarily be required. Alternatively the site requirements may be such that full method statement and risk assessments be presented in order to carry out works.
Should it be the case that RAMS are required we can produce fully compliant documentation to fulfil your health and safety brief. Our employees are all trained from the ground up as apprentices and have all passed a CSCS competency test. They all therefore have the correct paperwork and cards to carry out works.
“We all endeavour to act with common sense first. If something can be done to enhance the installation process we will see to it that measures are taken to do so.”Calvin Townshend – Site Engineer – EMC
Safety is key
Naturally a large site has many hazards. It is therefore imperative that the daily hazard board is checked.
Our engineers will assess an area for work and act appropriately in order to comply with site codes and regulations.
All staff have been time served with the industry. Our switchgear engineers have been trained by experienced builders. Our site engineers have been trained by skilled electrical installers.
In today’s climate the dilution of skill sets is all too common. We all too often see situations where inexperienced individuals have been put in charge of equipment that is beyond their abilities. This leads to danger for themselves and others around them.
A finished installation will be commissioned and left in a fully functional state. Client packs are produced in order to present the end user with a plant operations manual. Electrical testing is carried out to NICEIC standards. We are annually assessed in order to retain this certification so don’t worry about non compliance with present regulation.
Should you wish we can perform annual inspections of your switchgear or controls installation. Checking for wear and tear or interrogating existing software to check for abnormalities.
By all means pick up the phone and have a chat with us we are only too pleased to listen. Who knows creating a long lasting relationship with us could be beneficial for both parties.
In the 35 years since HSE was set up, the number of people of killed at work has fallen by 82 per cent. In addition to prosecuting those who break the law, HSE works in an enabling role with employers, local authorities and trade unions to raise awareness of workplace dangers and provide advice and guidance to help make workplaces safer places.
Need advice? Give us a call we don’t bite. A full understanding of controls is not necessary. Just English!
